About Ayodeji
I am Ayodeji Akiwowo, a data science with over ten years of experience in both industry and academia, where I’ve honed my skills in AI, data analytics and fusing data from multiple sensors. My full-time job involves consulting with a global organization and delivering impactful projects across technology, health, finance, and more, both in the UK and abroad. My work revolves around using AI and data to solve complex problems.
My passion lies in bridging the gap between technology and faith. I love helping churches, faith-based organizations, charities and SMEs integrate AI in a way that aligns with their core values and strengthens their communities.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me watching football (you may find me playing sometimes), getting lost in a good book, or enjoying a thought-provoking apologetics podcast. I am all about connecting the dots between technology and the things that really matter—our faith, our communities, and our daily lives.
In my community, I am a part of various initiatives supporting Africans in the UK and International students in the UK.

Ayodeji is the founder of Black Excellence (BE). Their mission is to celebrate, motivate and inspire black people all across the UK to reach new heights , break challenging barriers and go on to fulfill their full potential.
The BE team currently consists of 4 core members with over 10 active volunteers. Over the years, through BE, they have organised Career workshops, community events and networking sessions. Their flagship programme – BE Inspire, is a platform of video interviews of Black Professionals and experts in various fields in the UK.

One initiative I am very proud of involves volunteering as a STEM teacher on Saturdays for 2 hours. I prepare GCSE O’ levels and A levels students for their exams and in addition, I also teach students in Years 7 to 10.
My faith is the foundation of who I am and what I do. I am very active in my local church and support various departments.
